Transformation is a long-term process requiring leaders with the skill and perseverance to take on tough problems. Often these leaders work in isolation, preferring to keep their focus on changing local circumstances. Their effectiveness is immeasurably enhanced by assistance and “coaching” from IRCT staff, who all have long experience in building the capacity of philanthropic, public sector, and community-based organizations. More than organizational and leadership capacity building, we at IRCT like to say that we help leaders by “connecting the dots.” We listen to the transformation goals of leaders we work with, then introduce them to others who can help them achieve those goals by providing expertise and/or resources.
