Greetings from the planning program at Rutgers. Planning is an exciting field, and Rutgers is one of the best places in the world to study it. Our accredited planning program has been awarding professional master's degrees for 40 years, and our graduates populate the top ranks of planning directors, consultants, public officials, professors, lawyers, and business professionals worldwide. Our faculty has special strengths in environmental and physical planning, land-use law, housing and real estate, fiscal and economic analysis, urban design, regional planning and international development, transportation policy and planning, and urban and community development. This also includes the spectrum of advanced planning methods, including GIS, multiple regression, input-output analysis, focus groups, and survey research. Our location on the northeast corridor between New York and Philadelphia puts us in the heart of the action. We are 50 minutes from New York and Philadelphia on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor, 3 hours from Washington, D.C., and 5 hours from Boston. This year, like previous years, 80 percent of our M.C.R.P. students received some form of program financial support. If you are considering a graduate planning education, you really should look at Rutgers. I look forward to hearing from you.
