The Center for Planning Practice was established to oversee continuing professional development and technical assistance efforts in the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers.

It coordinates outreach programs by creating teams of faculty, staff and students to undertake practice-oriented projects. Housed within the Center is the the Professional Development Institute (PDI). Within PDI are The Leading Institute (TLI), the Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program (BOCEP), and Arts Build Communities (ABC).
