  • Impact of decision-making processes on nature of, and compliance with, outcomes
  • Theoretical (and practical) concerns having to do with intractable controversies, particularly those that emerge in public policy decision-making

Profile

Sanford M. Jaffe is a Co-Director of the Center for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. He has served as a member of the Board of Governors at Rutgers University and chair of its Budget and Finance Committee. As officer in charge of the Government and Law Program at the Ford Foundation, he directed its program in government reform, criminal justice, legal education and dispute resolution for a number of years. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he is the author of several publications in the fields of dispute resolution, public interest law and legal education. Mr. Jaffe currently is a member of the graduate faculty at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the NJ Supreme Court Committee on Dispute Resolution.
